Washed67m home to live and work at sea
This concept design study, based on a brief from Feadship, explores a 67m yacht conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the rise of remote work, the yacht integrates luxury workspaces tailored for a high-net-worth client.
Washed like a pebble, smooth and rounded by the sea's embrace, the project named "Washed" is a sanctuary for body and soul, echoing with the soft shush of breaking waves.

Using NACA profiles, the design of "Washed" forms a streamlined, monolith-like superstructure resembling a pebble. It has been sculpted in a style that is both brutalist and minimalist to create an arrangement that defies the ordinary. Canopy-like overhangs break from traditional symmetry, laying the groundwork for a playful layout that fosters flexible spaces filled with sun and shade.
Project Washed embodies the shift in work culture, providing a space where ideas can thrive. It caters to a nomadic work style, with various zones designed to inspire creativity, productivity, and connection, all while offering new scenery each day aboard.
Internally, most furniture is movable, allowing for versatile use of space. The furniture pieces are high-end but maintain a sense of humility. Structural elements are intentionally exposed, diverging from the typical opulence of luxury materials to showcase the beauty of engineering. The glazing, with its moderate transparency, offers glimpses inside, challenging the typical "closed doors" image often associated with yachts.
The crew area is more spacious than on traditional yachts, reducing the divide between guests and crew members. The inclusion of a crew exercise area highlights the importance of physical and mental well-being, supporting the crew's longevity and balance on board.
